CATESBY ON THE EXPANSION TRAIL

Stratford-based land and development company Catesby Property Group has demonstrated its commitment to growing the firm with two high profile appointments.

Mike Plummer joins as managing director of Catesby’s residential division and has been tasked with significantly expanding the firm’s residential property portfolio.

A chartered surveyor with over 20 years’ experience in the industry, Mike was previously director of development at London-based developer Westcity Wates, where he was responsible for delivering prestigious residential schemes in central London.

Joining Mike at Catesby as the firm’s legal counsel is Paul Murray, a solicitor specialising in property and property finance.  His role will be to oversee all legal aspects of commercial transactions conducted by Catesby.

Oxford-based Paul spent the last seven years at City of London firms Herbert Smith and Laytons, and has over 11 years’ experience in his sector.

Commenting on his move, Mike said: “Catesby is a firm which is really going places. I’ve joined at a crucial period and the focus is very much on taking things to the next level, so my remit is to drive things forward on the residential front and  look out for and secure new and exciting opportunities – not just here in the Midlands, but also towards London and the Home Counties.

“We already have several successful schemes under our belt – one such scheme currently underway is a joint venture site of 20 detached homes in Redbourn, Hertfordshire.

“With plenty more promising opportunities in the pipeline and plans in progress to recruit two new residential project directors, I’m confident that our reputation as residential developers will continue to grow.”

Catesby’s latest annual results showed significantly increased profits of £5.3 million for the period up to December 2006.
