The Catesby Property Group has secured a string of former PLC industry big guns to serve on its board as it seeks to expand its presence in the UK property and regeneration sector.
Previous Operations Director on the main board at Taylor Woodrow Plc, Graeme McCallum has stepped out of semi-retirement to join the Stratford-based business. Known for his high profile work for Barrett Developments, Alton Towers Group, Alfred McAlpine and Wilson Connelly, he joins Catesby as a non-executive director.
The second non-exec director, Mike Tanner, brings thirty-four years experience in the building and construction industry to Catesby having worked for homebuilder, George Wimpey UK, and national supplier, Tarmac.
In addition to the non-executive directors, Catesby has also appointed John Scott as an Operations Director. Having held the position of Managing Director for several Plc companies in the house building industry, including Charles Church and Crosby Homes (Midlands), his role with Catesby will look at new property ventures and strategic land interest as well as residential and commercial speculative development.
Simon Heath has been appointed as Group Accountant to support a number of development projects, bringing seven years experience from similar roles.
Paul Brocklehurst, Managing Director of Catesby Property Group, said; “This is shaping up to be an important year for us – not least because we now have the strongest team we have ever had. Since 2005, we have almost tripled in size to the 15 strong team we have today.”
In the last year, the privately owned company has welcomed 6 new recruits. This follows the latest set of annual results which showed significantly increased profits of £5.3 million for the period up to December 2006.
