CATESBY STRENGTHENS RESIDENTIAL TEAM

Stratford-based Catesby Property Group plc has strengthened its growing team with two significant appointments.

Helping to secure new opportunities for land and development will be new development directors Lee Barrett and Andrew Southern.

Lee joins from David Wilson Homes and has over 15 years’ experience in the industry working on the delivery of major residential developments including mixed use and commercial.  He will be responsible for land and development nationwide.

Meanwhile, Andrew, who previously worked for Countryside Properties delivering Major Projects as Associate Director (Development), will be focusing exclusively on residential opportunities in London and the South East.

The two new appointments take Catesby’s team to twelve.  The team has more than doubled in the last 18 months, expanding from just five staff at the end of 2005.

Lee said: “Catesby is really stepping things up a gear on the residential side and we are looking far and wide for suitable investment opportunities.  It’s the perfect time to be joining the firm.”

Andrew added: “Although Catesby is based in Stratford, its remit is UK-wide and I’m looking forward to bringing my own wealth of experience in the South East to the role.  Catesby is already carving out a name for itself as a residential specialist and I hope to be able to help establish that reputation further.”

Catesby has an existing land portfolio of 1000 acres of potential development land from the West Country to the North of England.

Current commercial projects include First Point, a 128 acre, 70% developed and sold industrial development in Doncaster and Vantage Point, a 115,000 sq ft industrial scheme by Fort Dunlop in Birmingham.

On the residential side, the business has recently acquired the former site of the Parks Depot in the Richmond upon Thames and is developing 27 luxury properties in Redbourn, Hertfordshire, in conjunction with Donald Harrison Homes.
