Graeme McCallum – Non-Executive Director
Graeme previously served as an operations director on the board at Taylor Woodrow Plc. He has worked at a number of national property companies including Barrett Developments, Alton Towers Group, Alfred McAlpine and Wilson Connelly. A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Graeme has also served as a non-executive director for the National House-Building Council where he chaired the Technical Standards Committee.
Mike Tanner – Non-Executive Director
Mike brings with him over thirty years of experience in the property industry having worked for homebuilder George Wimpey UK as divisional managing director and national supplier, Tarmac. He is also a member of the Audit and Nomination Committees.
Paul Brocklehurst - Chief Executive
Paul took over the Catesby Property Group in 2006 after founder Eric Groves approached him to become Group Managing Director. A graduate of the London School of Economics, Paul is a champion of the Government’s Regeneration and Sustainable Development agenda, having spent the last three years interacting with local authorities across all of Catesby’s developments.
He joined Catesby after spending 19 years with the Royal Bank of Scotland where held a number of senior positions within the Corporate Banking Division. He also worked, for a brief time, at the Bank of England within its Banking Supervision Division.
Damian Cox : Group Finance Director Damian joined Catesby from Keystone Developments where he was Finance and Development Director. His previous experience has included working at The Berkeley Group in a variety of roles, including Finance Director for upmarket developer Thirlstone Homes, for specialist student and keyworker company Berkeley First and for Berkeley Strategic Land. Damian also worked at Berkeley’s Joint Venture operation, St James Homes. Damian originally qualified as an accountant in 1994 and worked in many different sectors prior to development including high tech, building supplies and leasing.
Eric Grove - Chairman
Eric Grove was the founder of Catesby Estates Ltd in 2005. One of the most successful property entrepreneurs in the country, he has over 50 years industry experience - both running his own businesses and working for large plcs.
Eric started his training at Thomas Vale Construction in Stourport, after which he formed his first housing company in the early 1950’s. Shortly afterwards, he launched a second company - Canberra Land/Homes, which went on to become a multi-regional house builder.
This was then sold to Alfred McAlpine plc in 1988 with Eric becoming a Main Board Director and Chairman of the Homes Division. He played a key role in ensuring the company survived the severe housing recession of the early 1990s.
Eric retired from Alfred McAlpine plc in 1995 to develop Catesby Estates Ltd. He later appointed Paul Brocklehurst (below) as Group Managing Director and the Catesby Property Group plc was formed.
John Scott – Special Projects Director
John has previously held the position of managing director for several Plc companies in the house building industry including Charles Church and Crosby Homes (Midlands). His role at Catesby looks at new property ventures and strategic land interest as well as residential and commercial speculative development.
Mike Plummer – Managing Director (residential division)
Mike is a chartered surveyor with over 20 years’ experience in the property industry. He has previously served as director of development at London-based developer Westcity Wates, where he was responsible for delivering prestigious residential schemes in central London.
Paul Murray – Legal Counsel
A fully trained solicitor, Paul specialises in property and property finance. Before joining Catesby, Paul spent seven years at City of London firms Herbert Smith and Laytons and has over 11 years’ experience in his sector.
Andrew Southern – Development Director
Andrew joined Catesby having previously worked for Countryside Properties delivering Major Projects as Associate Director (Development). His role is focussed exclusively on residential opportunities in London and the South East.
Lee Barrett - Development Director
Lee’s former role was at David Wilson Homes where he gained over 15 years’ experience in the industry working on the delivery of major residential developments including mixed use and commercial. His role at Catesby is to oversee commercial development nationwide.
Richard Breese – Finance Director
Richard is a chartered accountant and has spent over twenty years in the real estate sector in a number of senior positions both in public and private sectors. He has previously worked for international accounting firm Deloittes, acted as finance director at PSIT plc and most recently FD at Stannifer Group Holdings Limited. He holds an MBA and is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
