Central government places great emphasis on future homes being more affordable and more sustainable and we are committed to delivering this objective.
These schemes include
- We are currently working with a number of local authorities to provide several thousand homes along with employment land to generate up to 6,000 new local jobs. These scheme included homes for key workers and the elderly, flood alleviation works to benefit new and existing housing, and road improvements to aid traffic flow and public transportation to the wider area.
- In Richmond, Surrey, a small scheme of apartments and townhouses will recreate a wildflower meadow on its flat roof, sympathetic to the fauna of adjacent parkland. Here too, the use of solar panels and heat recovery systems will increase the amount of energy generated from renewable sources and reduce the overall CO2 footprint of the scheme.
- First Point, Doncaster. In this 120 acre mixed-use scheme of office development, retail and distribution centres, a sustainable drainage system (SUDS) has been designed and implemented utilising swales and a reed bed to collect and clean all run-off water from the site.
